ZAMBIA HOSTS WFF AFRICA BODYBUILDING CHAMPIONSHIP

Zambia has officially opened the World Fitness Federation (WFF) Africa Bodybuilding and Fitness Championship Pro Qualifier 2025, marking the second consecutive year the country hosts the prestigious continental event.

Permanent Secretary for Youth, Sport and Arts Chileshe Kangwa, representing Minister Elvis Nkandu, says the championship’s significance extends beyond competition, describing it as a platform promoting unity, physical excellence, and health awareness across Africa.

Kangwa has emphasized that government recognizes sports as a vital driver of health, tourism, economic growth, and national pride, pledging continued investment in sports infrastructure and youth development programs.

WFF World President Graeme Lancefied who has traveled from Australia to attend, has been joined by International Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (IBFF) World President Annie Williams from South Africa.

WFF Zambia President Peter Chanda and his team have also received commendations for organizing the championship.

Athletes from across the continent have been praised for their dedication and urged to compete with integrity and sportsmanship.

The championship is expected to provide a pathway for African bodybuilders to compete on the global stage.
