Voting in some polling stations in Zimbabwe is still ongoing due to glitches in the supply of ballot papers which led to some centres to commence the process late.
Largest opposition leader, Nelson Chamisa, has spoken at a press briefing in the capital city Harare where he laments alleged attempts by his rivals in the ZANU-PF to nullify the general election.
Mr. Chamisa further alleges that gaps witnessed in the electoral process are a vivid case of state machinations to rob Zimabweans of their dream to usher their preferred leaders to rescue the nation from the jaws of mismanagement of national affairs.
This is Zimbabwe’s second general election since the 2017 coup that deposed late President Robert Mugabe.
Citizens of that country will elect a new president, 210 national lawmakers and 1,970 local government and municipal leaders.
