Chess Federation of Zambia President, Lesley Chikuse, has urged chess players to observe sportsmanship as they participate in the World Cup slot qualifier being held at Fairview hotel in Lusaka.
Chikuse has thanked and congratulated the national team for earning the slot at the World Cup to be held in Astana, Kazakhstan from the 7th of April to the 1st May 2023.
And Sports Betting Company, Betika, who are among the team sponsors say they will continue to support different sports disciplines in the country.
The double round robin 3-day competition which will run from 27 to 29 January, has 4 participants which include International Masters, Chitumbo Mwali, and Richmond Phiri, FIDE Master, Nase Lungu and Timothy Kabwe.
