South Korea has beaten Zambia 5-2 in an international friendly at the Suwon World Cup Stadium in Seoul.
The Bruce Mwape tutored side conceded their first after failing to deal with a corner that landed on Cho Sohyun who slotted it past Catherine Musonda in the 24th minute.
Rachael Kundananji levelled the scoreline in the 37th minute after the Korean defence failed to deal with a cross.
Kundananji turned provider at the stroke of halftime with a well taken cross which was slotted in by captain Barbara Banda to give Mwape’s laces a 2-1 lead heading into the break.
The Colin Bell side found the equaliser in the 58th minute through Lee Geummin, who grabbed her second two minutes after the hour mark to give the hosts a 3-2 lead.
Seven minutes before time, Cho Sohyun bagged her brace for Korea, before Pauline Zulu misjudged her clearance, allowing Eunsun Park to make it five on the stroke of regulation time.
The two teams meet again on April 11 in their second international friendly match.
