Zambia’s Maina Soko Medical Centre has achieved a significant milestone by successfully performing a complex brain operation.
The operation, which took place on June 9, 2023, lasted over seven (7) hours and was conducted by a team of highly skilled professionals on a 29-year-old female patient, Likoji Mihova.
According to details by medical staff, Ms. Mihova has since been discharged and is recovering from home.
The intricate brain surgery was carried out by an exceptional team of medical professionals that included team leader, Dr Godiwala Tossif, a renowned Consultant in Neurology, Senior Colonel (Dr) Wang Su Chao, a skilled Neurosurgeon from the 29th Chinese Medical Team, Colonel (Dr) Greenwell Kunda (Rtd), and Lt Col (Dr) Masauso Tonga, an experienced Anesthesiologist.
