Zambia’s economy has grown by 3.6 percent in the third quarter of 2025, up from 2.7 percent in the same period in 2024, according to the Zambia Statistics Agency.
The growth has mainly been driven by strong performance in information and communication, transportation, agriculture, and construction.
ZamStats Acting Statistician General Sheila Mudenda says information and communication led growth with a 2.5 percent contribution, followed by transportation and storage at 1.0 percent.
Despite contractions in wholesale and retail trade and financial services, the economy recorded moderate, broad-based growth.
