“As Diamond Media is constantly looking for ways to improve, we’re not shy about learning from others & sharing what we know. So, rest assured that we will use the new knowledge gained from this conference to serve you even better,” Costa Mwansa says.
Diamond Media CVO was part of a panel that discussed Integration and impact of Social Media on TV Broadcasters during the 7th edition of the event.
“In our market, we have a disjoint of broadcast regulator, regulating or managing content only on the box (TV) and the upswing of social media disruption leaves the regulator and statutes behind.
“When technology moves up, even when we are adapting, we find it very odd that what you are doing on Twitter or YouTube has no legal framework in terms of monetization, business models and so on. I think for me there is a huge challenge going forward, especially for many of our markets,” he says.
