The Zambia Hockey Association (ZHA) is urgently appealing for K500,000 to cover accommodation costs for the men’s national team ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations slated for October 11th to 18th, 2025, in Egypt.
In an official statement, ZHA General Secretary Elvis Bwalya has disclosed that the association has been advised to settle accommodation fees before the government can proceed with purchasing travel tickets.
He adds that while the association has already secured visas, playing kits, tracksuits, and participation fees for the men’s team, the outstanding accommodation payment remains the final hurdle.
He has since appealed today well-wishers and corporate entities to come forward and assist in ensuring Zambia’s participation in the continental showpiece.
Zambia is scheduled to open its campaign against South Africa on Saturday, October 11th.
