Government says Zambia’s participation at the just ended 3rd Conference on Financing Higher Education in Africa will boost the education sector by bringing different stakeholders together to exchange ideas and experiences that will enhance increased students’ access to higher education within and outside Africa.
Ministry of Education Permanent Secretary Joel Kamoko says higher education will benefit from the Conference as it will bring and provide increased access for all eligible candidates and explore other avenues that would monitor the progression rate.
Mr. Kamoko explained that higher education sector has developed and encouraged strategic program funding meant to understand the industry and its needs and provide graduates who are able to adapt and fit into the industry to stimulate national development.
“The Conference is aimed at creating a platform to expand knowledge, experiences, bring ideas, and solutions to improve higher education in Africa,” Mr. Kamoko said.
The 3rd International Conference on Financing Higher Education, which started on Monday, 26th September 2022 in Capetown South Africa, and drew participants from 11 African countries both the public and private institutions.
