The Government of Zambia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with UK-based education technology firm Obrizum Ltd to explore the use of artificial intelligence in transforming the country’s learning systems.
Minister of Technology and Science Felix Mutati says the partnership will see the introduction of AI-powered adaptive learning solutions in selected secondary schools through a pilot programme that will digitise curriculum content and support teachers with data-driven insights to improve learner performance.
The initiative is expected to strengthen the delivery of quality education and support Zambia’s broader development agenda under the 8th National Development Plan, while leveraging technology to enhance the country’s human capital development.
And Obrizum Chief Executive Officer Dr Chibeza Agley says they are happy to be part of the journey of Zambia’s education sector.
He says it gives them pride that both learners and pupils will benefit from this.
