Outgoing Chinese Ambassador to Zambia, Du Xiaohui, has described the Zambia – China relations to be on a high level.

Speaking during a farewell courtesy call at State House, Mr. Xiaohui says Zambia’s transformation towards modernisation since the UPND Government took place has gained speed, winning acclaim at home and abroad.

Mr. Xiaohui says among the developments in relation to trade and investment that shows that the two countries share stronger bilateral ties include the construction of the Lusaka-Ndola dual carriageway, Chingola-Kasumbalesa road and the revitalization of TAZARA among others.

And Republican President, Hakainde Hichilema, hopes that the finalization of the TAZARA project is done before September this year.

Later in the day, President Hichilema received letters of credence from two ambassadors and a High Commissioner.
