The Zambia Netball Women’s National Team have started their campaign in the Pacificaus Sports Netball Series on a high after recording a 49-45 victory over Kenya.
Team Zambia squandered the first quarter of the game by a 16-5 lead to allow Kenya to come from behind and level scores 23-23 at half time.
Zambia Netball National Team Coach, Lazarus Tembo, has described the game to be the toughest yet, saying fatigue was a major factor in the team’s weaknesses but also acknowledging his side’s advantage of having both talent and experience in the team.
Meanwhile, Kenya Netball Team Coach, Penina Nyakundi, says her players were shaky in the game, hence their loss.
In her second game of the tournament, Zambia will face Singapore tomorrow at 05:30hrs.
