In an On The Table interview with Chimweka from September this year, Malawi’s Tay Grin who features on Yo Maps’ latest record, ‘Somone’, predicted the song would be a “smash hit” that will make people “party”.

Prior to its release on Saturday, 11th November 2023, Yo Maps himself shared on his social media that he was working on ‘a December song which was 90% done.’

The video has now hit a milestone by attaining over 1 million views in 3 days beating his previous record of achieving 1 million views in 4 days with his 2022 release, ‘Aweah’.
