WITNESS DISPUTES FORGERY IN FINDLAY PASSPORT CASE

.

A forensic handwriting and document expert, Konrad Pierri Landman, has testified that the variations in stamp impressions on Harry Valden Findlay’s passport could be due to factors such as ink distribution, surface texture, pressure applied, and alignment angles.

This is in a matter where Findlay is charged with two counts of possession of more than one passport and endorsement of forged stamps for Mwami Border.

Appearing before Magistrate Silvia Munyinya, the defence witness testified that the placement and characteristics of the stamps on the passport do not suggest forgery.

However, the prosecution argued that the testimony and forensic report submitted as evidence by the defence witness do not match the date stamp presented in court.

They further contended that the witness failed to demonstrate the similarities between the stamps and the characteristics outlined in his report.

Findlay has since closed his defence, and the court has set November 27, 2025, as the date for judgment.
