A witch doctor who allegedly defiled his 15-year-old granddaughter under the guise of administering traditional medicine has been arrested while hiding at his girlfriend’s house.
According to Eastern Province Police Commanding Officer Robertson Mweemba, Doctor Sesema Zulu, picked up around in the midmorning on May 17, 2026, following a manhunt launched by Chadiza Police Officers in Mphula Village.
The suspect was on the run since the early hours of May 17, when he allegedly assaulted the teenager on a secluded bush path.
Police tracked Zulu to his girlfriend’s house in the same village, where he was found hiding.
He is now being detained in lawful custody at Chadiza Police Station pending court appearance for the offence of defilement of a child under 16 years.
