WE NEED TO GET BACK TO THE BIG STAGE – KANYEMBA
Zambia U17 Girls’ National Team Coach Carol Kanyemba says her team is determined to return to the global stage at the U17 Women’s World Cup after gaining valuable experience last year.
In an interview, Kanyemba has described last year’s tournament as a critical learning curve for both her and the players, boosting her confidence in their potential to deliver an improved performance in the next edition.
She has also underscored the importance of the 2024 U17 COSAFA Women’s Championship, where the Copper Princesses emerged victorious, in providing the technical bench with crucial insights into the players’ confidence levels in high-pressure games.
Looking ahead to the World Cup qualifier against Tanzania on March 3rd, Kanyemba has acknowledged the challenge ahead, predicting a tough encounter as the opponents are expected to come with full force.
The U17 Women’s World Cup will take place from October 17 to November 8, 2025.
