An 11 year-old boy of Mtendere Compound in Lusaka who was attacked by vicious dogs of PHI last Saturday has had his left arm amputated at Levy Mwanawasa Hospital.
Police spokesperson Danny Mwale has told Diamond Media that the juvenile, who is still admitted to the same health facility, has undergone surgery.
Mr. Mwale has also disclosed the owner of the dogs has been released on police bond and will appear in court soon.
When contacted again the family declined to comment that it is still processing the trauma and at an appropriate time, it will share its ordeal with the nation.
The public was on February 11, 2023, around 15:00 hours, shocked by the vicious attack on the minor who was repeatedly bitten by the dogs and was only rescued by a named man who shot one of the dogs.
