The United States of America has given Zambia 16 million dollars in the fight against corruption and other reform efforts.
Speaking during a press conference at State House, US Vice President Kamala Harris, says the US will always stand with Zambia in its resolve to fight corruption and enhance its democracy.
Ms. Harris has also reiterated US’ support to Zambia to resolve its debt burden.
And President Hakainde Hichilema has asked both America and China to help Zambia restructure its debt.
President Hichilema has also reaffirmed his government’s commitment to building strong bilateral ties with both countries.
Ms. Harris arrived in the country on Friday afternoon accompanied by the second gentleman and has held talks with President Hichilema centred on trade and investment.
