The United Party for National Development-UPND says there is no shortage of medicine in the country nor an impending increase in the cost of electricity.

UPND Spokesperson Cornelius Mweetwa says the national average availability of medicines is currently at 75 percent and it is the desire of government to stock drugs fully by the first quarter of 2023.

Meanwhile, Mr. Mweetwa said the recent Cost of Service Report by Zesco does not entail that electricity tariffs will increase immediately but will be determined by the Energy Regulation Board -ERB- in line with the prevailing economic situation in the country.

He was speaking during a press briefing in Lusaka today.
