Socialist Party leader, Fred M’membe, has slammed the governing United Party for National Development (UPND), accusing it of running the country in a manner similar to the Patriotic Front (PF), the former ruling party.
Dr. M’membe has claims the approach led to the PF’s defeat in the 2021 general elections.
And Speaking on the alliance with the Tonse Alliance and other political groups, Dr. M’membe has expressed confidence that the coalition is well-positioned to challenge the UPND in the upcoming 2026 general elections.
However, he emphasized that while the alliance aims to present a united front, it will not compromise the individual ideologies of its member parties.
