TP Mazembe Head Coach, Lamine Ndiaye, has urged his team not to underestimate Red Arrows as they face off in tomorrow’s CAF Champions League Second Round, First Leg encounter.
Ndiaye highlighted the Zambian side’s hunger for success, saying that Red Arrows’ current form makes them a formidable opponent.
Speaking in a pre-match briefing at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola, Ndiaye noted that although he is well-versed with the Zambian football scene, his team has prepared intensively to ensure they leave the pitch victorious.
Meanwhile, Red Arrows Assistant Coach Kalililo Kakonje acknowledged that many have dubbed his side the underdogs but expressed confidence in his team’s readiness.
Kakonje says his team is aware of the talks labeling them as underdogs, but they are not concerned with public perception as the team’s focus is entirely on the game.
Red Arrows Captain Saddam Phiri echoed his coach’s sentiments, adding that the team is fully motivated to fight for a spot in the next round of the prestigious tournament.
The match is set to be a highly anticipated clash, with both teams determined to progress further in the competition.
