Three relatives have been sentenced to life imprisonment for murdering a Lusaka taxi driver they had hired.
In this matter Dveck Moonga of PHI of Lusaka, Masha Namushiya of Liteta area in Kabwe and Serve Asimushi of Overspill Compound in Choma District are charged with murder and aggravated Robbery Contrary to Section 200 and 294(sub-section 1) Cap 87 of the Laws of Zambia.
Particulars of the offence are that on 8th April 2022, the trio whilst working together did steal a Toyota Allion registration number BAV 3802 ZM and an Infinix Mobile Phone altogether valued at K157,000 a property of Lucky Mugala, items the suspects forcefully took from the victim.
Three are said to have hired the deceased from Lusaka to Livingstone for unknown business, but killed the unsuspecting taxi driver in Choma and dumped his remains along Namwala road, near Choma dam and headed to Sinazongwe District.
