Three children have reportedly been abandoned by an unidentified family in Lusaka’s Kanyama compound.
The children, aged 7, 5, and 3, were found crying by the roadside along Mumbwa Road around 19:00 on Saturday, 3 May 2025.
They were discovered by Jean Munyimba, a local UPND official and chairperson for Chinika Ward, who is currently caring for them.
Ms Munyimba said no one has come forward to claim the children, and police have told her they will contact her if any relatives come forward.
Only the oldest child, identified as Chris Simangolwa, has been able to provide a name.

The children speak only Lozi.
