Nalikwanda Constituency in Mongu District has been hit by yet another tragedy following the death of Mutondo Ward Councillor Silvester Siwito, who passed away at Lewanika General Hospital after a short illness.
His death has sent shockwaves through the local community and the Mongu Municipal Council, coming barely weeks after the deaths of two other councillors from the same constituency.
In August, Nakato Ward Councillor died after a brief illness, while Litawa Ward Councillor passed away last month in what was reported as a suspected suicide case.
