TEEN WITH RARE BLOOD VESSEL DISORDER APPEALS FOR URGENT MEDICAL HELP

.

A 16-year-old girl from Kaleya Compound in Southern Province is appealing for financial assistance from well-wishers and the government to access advanced medical treatment abroad for hemangiomas, a condition she has battled since infancy.

According to her parents, the growths first appeared in her early childhood and have gradually spread to her left hand, left thigh, stomach, and are now nearing her private areas.

The girl, who has failed Grade 9 twice due to the pain caused by the condition, described her situation as debilitating. Recent X-rays indicate that the hemangiomas have begun to damage the bones in her hand and leg, with the condition now advancing toward her abdomen and private areas.

Hemangiomas are abnormal growths made up of rapidly dividing blood vessel cells, often appearing as red marks on the skin. While some cases resolve on their own, others, like hers, require specialized medical intervention.

The family is urgently seeking financial support to cover the costs of treatment abroad, as local medical facilities lack the resources needed to manage her condition effectively.
