Minister of Justice Princess Kasune has disclosed that the Technical Committee on the ongoing constitutional amendment consultations will hold virtual sittings for members of the public in all 116 districts.
She says this approach aims to ensure that every citizen has an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the constitutional reform process.
The minister explained that virtual submissions will be made at council chambers across the country.
Ms. Kasune further revealed that the government is confident the committee, guided by its terms of reference, is on course to fulfill its mandate.
The Zambian government wants to amend selected clauses of the 2016 Constitution, despite opposition from some civil society organisations and political leaders.
The Technical Committee is expected to produce a draft bill by the end of November 2025.
