A 14-year-old grade 9 pupil at Eastern Girls Technical School in Chipangali District, Eastern Province has allegedly been defiled by a teacher.
Jairos Mtonga, 48, allegedly defiled the minor in the school office when she, in the company of a friend, went for consultation.
The pupils reported the matter to the Headteacher who later reported it to the police.
Eastern Province Acting Deputy Commanding Officer Kennedy Chibwe, has confirmed the case, leading to the arrest of Mr. Mtonga for the case of defilement.
