Some students under Sinazongwe Constituency Development Fund (CDF) skills training at PRICCA Earth Moving Institute in Lusaka have cried foul over the loss of their belongings at the hands of the institution, while they were on Holiday.
Unhappy students have accused a Lusaka based training institute called PRICCA Earth Moving Institute of alleged failure to take care of the students’ property at a boarding house resulting in loss of property and a new tenant has occupied the house.
Tailoring students are now demanding for their belongings which include beddings.
Recently concerned students disclosed that instead of hiring a competent skills Center, a tailor from Kaunda Square Stage One in in Lusaka was allegedly handpicked to undertake the task under Sinazongwe CDF.
An independent observation done by Diamond Media further discovered that despite government having paid a K6, 500 sponsorship fee for each student, a shop owner where tailoring is done by students, was demanding more money.
Findings have also revealed that PRICCA is not registered and is in contravention with regulations of the Technical Education Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training Authority-TEVETA.
