A heavy downpour has blown off the roofs of two teachers’ houses at Basanga Primary School in Itezhi-Tezhi Constituency in Southern Province.
One of the affected teachers, Yendi Mudenda, say the school houses are in a deplorable state since they were built in the 1950s hence they could not stand severe weather conditions and they have now been worsened by the latest incident.
And Itezhi Tezhi Member of Parliament, Twaambo Mutinta, has confirmed the development to Diamond news and has since urged the Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit to monitor potential disasters.
