The State has applied to amend their statement of fact in a matter in which 22 Chinese Nationals admitted being part of a sophisticated internet fraud syndicate that was sending scam messages to members of the public.
The state wants to include more details relating to the charges.
In this Matter, Bing Wentu and 21 others are charged with the offense of Computer Related Misrepresentation, Identity Related Crimes and Prohibition of Operating of Network or Provision of service License contrary to the laws of Zambia.
Magistrate Munyinya has granted the state’s application and has since adjourned the matter to Friday, June 7, 2024, as date for judgement.
