LUSAKA \u2013 Chief Government Whip Stafford Mulusa has issued a strong reminder to the newly elected Members of Parliament for Petauke and Pambashe constituencies, emphasizing their responsibility to diligently serve the people who placed their trust in them. His remarks come ahead of the resumption of the Fourth Session of the Thirteenth National Assembly, scheduled to begin tomorrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mr. Mulusa highlighted the critical role that Members of Parliament play in shaping the nation’s future through their legislative duties and constituency representation. \u201cI trust that Honourable Lungu has the appropriate permissions for her absence,\u201d Mr. Mulusa remarked. \u201cHowever, I expect her to fulfill her parliamentary duties and return to the National Assembly by tomorrow\u2019s session.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ms. Lungu’s absence comes amid reports that she is scheduled to appear before the Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) for an interview on February 11, 2025.
