A tragic house fire has claimed the life of an eight-month-old infant in Lusaka’s Kanyama Compound, leaving the community in mourning. According to police reports, the incident occurred when the mother, Agness Musonda, aged 22, briefly stepped out to purchase a mealie meal pack for supper. Unfortunately, an unattended candle left burning in the bedroom where the baby was sleeping is believed to have caused the fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the time of the incident, the child’s father was also not at home. The fire quickly engulfed the room, leading to the devastating loss of the infant\u2019s life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
