Speaking when he appeared on the Diamond Breakfast on Friday, Mobile Money Association President, Pamfred Hasweeka said loadshedding characterized by scheduled power outages, has severely disrupted the daily operations of these agents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mr. Hasweeka stated that loadshedding is not just an inconvenience, but it is a threat to the financial stability of millions who rely on mobile money services who are losing up to K4500 in monthly commissions due to network interruptions caused by power blackouts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He has called on the government to prioritize the energy sector and implement measures to stabilize the power supply and urged mobile network operators to enhance their infrastructure to withstand power outages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
