Explaining the recent events at Namwandwe that led to a riot, Mofya emphasized that political songs, whether PF, UPND, or any other party, are prohibited within market premises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Contrary to rumors, Mofya stated that the hawker in question acknowledged the violation and sought forgiveness, before the situation escalated unnecessarily due to alleged PF members blowing it out of proportion, causing confusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In response, traders have called for Mofya’s resignation as market chairperson, blaming him for the unrest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
