A joint team of Kasama Municipal Council officers and police have removed street vendors from the Kasama town centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The operation that begun in the early hours of Monday saw officers destroy all illegal stalls in the central business district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This move follows a meeting which was held between the local authority and vendors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kasama Municipal Council Assistant Public Relations Manager Charity Chaiwila says the council will continue to patrol the streets to ensure compliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
