An Investigation to determine the cause of a fire which damaged property of an office at Livingstone’s renowned Mosi-oa-Tunya Building has been instituted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Last night, a room within the building caught fire destroying stationary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The fire was contained by a combined team of the Fire Brigade department and the Zambia Air Force fire department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
NAPSA Head of Corporate Affairs Cephas Sinyangwe who confirmed the development in a statement, says the fire has not affected any NAPSA documents, but localized the incident to room 309 of the Eastern Wing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, Diamond News visited the scene and found stationary equipment burnt to ashes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Alport Banda, the tenant accounts that he has no clue on the cause of the fire, saying all his equipment were intact by close of business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He has equally not accounted the value of items lost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The authority has barricaded the Eastern Wing to allow for independent investigations into what could have caused the fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
