President Hakainde Hichilema has pledged to protect his predecessor, Edgar Lungu, from individuals that may be infringing upon his freedom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking during a press conference at State House in Lusaka, the President denied assertions that he is harassing the former head of state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
President Hichilema clarifies that Mr. Lungu would not be jogging every weekend on public roads if he was being harassed as it is portrayed by some sections of society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He has since urged the former first family to be sincere on the assertions being spread in public domain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, speaking on the KCM and Mopani impasse, the president has disclosed that his government has lost ground on concluding matters surrounding the two mining firms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
