Patriotic Front Vice President Given Lubinda has been arrested by the police over alleged failure to appear before the Parliamentary Privileges Committee of the National Assembly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
PF member of the Central Committee and Deputy Chairperson for information and publicity Emmanuel Mwamba has confirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mr. Mwamba says the arrest follows the former Kabwata lawmaker’s remarks against the Speaker’s decision to suspend some Patriotic Front (PF) members of parliament whose elections were nullified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Currently, PF officials are making efforts to organise sureties for Mr. Lubinda’s bond pending a court appearance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
