President Hakainde Hichilema has suspended High Court Judge Wilfred Muma with immediate effect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a statement, Chief Communications Officer Clayson Hamasaka says the suspension follows recommendations in the report presented to the President by the judicial Complaints commission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mr. Hamasaka also says the suspension of Justice Muma is pursuant to article 144 (3) of the constitution of Zambia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prior to the suspension, Judge Muma is facing corruption allegations before the Lusaka Magistrates Court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
