A 43-year-old man of Lusaka has been divorced for threatening to commit suicide after his spouse refused to share the rental bill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In this matter, Anna Chishimba, aged 35, sued Jonathan Makunga before the Matero Local Court, for divorce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Chishimba narrated that her husband has failed to provide for their home, and has a tendency of deserting the home whenever he gets paid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his defence, Makunga said his wife refused to help with bills, despite having been promoted at her job.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In passing judgment, Magistrate Harriet Mulenga divorced the couple because both parties were not willing to reconcile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
No compensation was awarded to both parties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
