A woman of Choma District in Southern Province has died after allegedly being beaten by her late husband’s relatives.
31-year-old Esnart Daka of Zambia Compound was accused of being behind the death of Rodgers Chipango.
According to police, Chipango’s relatives pounced on Daka after the latter informed them about her husband’s death.

Chipango died on May 18th, 2024, after falling sick the previous night.
Police further add that the deceased’s mother, Rabecca Sakala, rushed her daughter to Shampande clinic after the beating, but unfortunately, she did not make it.
Before her death, she had complained of chest pains and backache.
Post-mortem results have shown that she died of head injuries.
