Police in Petauke have arrested and charged two Patriotic Front members, Patrick Banda and Kezius Banda for giving false information to a Public Officer and attempting to utter false documents.
This is when Police managed to successfully block Patrick Banda from filing nominations ahead of Lusangazi district by election.
It is alleged that Mr. Banda was found in possession of a document falsely obtained from ECZ and attempted to utter the same to Electoral Commission of Zambia using Kezias Maumba aged 47 of Ukwimi in Chief Sandwe of Lusangazi District.
Police have also arrested two United Party for National Development UPND supporters for conduct likely to cause breach of peace.
On Thursday, police fought running battles with UPND cadres who attacked the Patriotic Front PF team.
