Government has evacuated seven victims among the survivors in the Luano accident which claimed 32 lives on Sunday morning.
The seven are in critical condition and require urgent evacuation to the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) for CT brain and specialized care.
Zambia Flying Doctors Services Representative, Dr Bridget Zulu, says other victims have continued receiving treatment in Mkushi.
Among those evacuated include, Rebecca Mulumba, female, 47, with multiple fractures, Ephraim Tinashe, male, with traumatic brain injury and fractured left radius and ulna.
The Citizen First Party is saddened by the accident, urging the government through the Ministry of Transport and Communication and Local Government that manage these markets to find better means and safer ways to transport those who are doing business unlike being ferried in unsafe means of transportation.
