One of Pamela Chisumpa’s alleged abductors, James Bwalya, has changed his plea on an offence of escape from lawful custody.
The accused has now denied escaping from Mwembeshi Maximum Correctional Facility on February 26th, 2023.
He says he does not remember escaping from the facility.

But earlier, when he made his first court appearance before Magistrate Keegan Litiya, the accused admitted to escaping from the facility because of some circumstances.
The court has since set May 10th, 2023 for commencement of his trial.
