The Livingstone City Council has set aside over thirteen million Kwacha out of the K25.7 to finance 45 Constituency Development funded projects under the 2022 budget.
The authority through its public relations department has disclosed that apart from the earlier handover of 19 cheques to cooperatives, the approved projects will include construction of an ablution block, science labs for two schools and rehabilitation of Ngwenya Bridge.
Others are rehabilitation of road works, drainages, fish ponds and installation of water reticulation systems in most wards not connected to the utility company.
However, concerns of late disbursement of funds has sparked concerns of when the projects will be embarked on.
Akapelwa ward development Committee chairperson Lt. Col. Stephen Mwakwa has since attributed the delays to teething problems.
