Lusaka businessman, Shadreck Kasanda’s wife, Lauren, has pleaded not guilty to one count of assaulting her husband’s mistress.
In this matter, Lauren Rhaphalle is accused of assaulting Rumbidzai Chibanda on 9th August 2023, occasioning her actual bodily harm.
According to court records, the two women met at Lusaka Central Correctional Facility where they went to visit their lover who is detained in connection to the gold scam case.

It is alleged that after the confrontation, Kasanda’s mistress proceeded to report the assault at Kabwata Police Station.
