Authorities in Kasama District have warned scrap metal dealers against buying items from suspecting thieves.
Kasama District Commissioner Elizabeth Goma says her office has received reports of theft of metal bars which end up scrap yards.
She says dealers that will be found wanting shall face the long arm of the law as the trend is also posing a huge security threat.
