A 30-year-old man has appeared before the Lusaka Magistrates Court for allegedly raping a 96-year-old woman from Mazyopa Compound in Lusaka awaiting his judgement on June 20th, 2023.
The rape was alleged done soon after the old woman finished taking a bath and sat on the bed applying lotion.
The old lady who testified against the accused early this month before magistrate Amy Masoja sustained injuries on her private parts after the act and now has challenges with her mobility.

But in opening his defence, the accused has denied raping the victim.
He says he was just mistakenly identified to be the one that allegedly raped the old woman.
