A fire has swept through a house in Kalongwezi Township in Eastern Province destroying property worth thousands of kwacha.
The damaged household properties include stoves, fridges, beds, geysers, tables among others.
The fire whose cause is yet to be established is believed to have started at around 18hrs on Wednesday evening.

Police and the fire services department have since launched investigations to establish the cause of the fire.
No injuries have been recorded.
