President Hakainde Hichilema has suspended High Court Judge Wilfred Muma with immediate effect.
In a statement, Chief Communications Officer Clayson Hamasaka says the suspension follows recommendations in the report presented to the President by the judicial Complaints commission.
Mr. Hamasaka also says the suspension of Justice Muma is pursuant to article 144 (3) of the constitution of Zambia.

Prior to the suspension, Judge Muma is facing corruption allegations before the Lusaka Magistrates Court.
